We’re searching for a new member to join our team of cracker jack radio professionals who produce a daily diet of radio program prep materials on a part-time/vacation fill-in basis. Ideal candidates will possess excellent written word and content curation skills, have a strong sense of current day pop culture, gravitate easily to working in a close knit team environment and are able to work with flexible hours. Sun-Thursday is standard week. Previous radio experience is helpful but not required. 15-30 hours per week and Salary ranging from $18-$22 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Research and seek out current news articles by category and genre pop culture and trends.

• Copy Edit published articles from internet/ web sources.

• Excellent writing skills, grammatical and creative.

• Basic website HTML/database/publishing/photo and text editing skills.

• Works with main coeditors on radio-specific formats.

• Share posts and fill-in responsibilities with editors.

• Maintains up to the minute knowledge of pop culture terms, events, trends, and updates.

• Listens to and reviews affiliate radio shows to note how our service is used.

• Tolerance of materials and subject matter for mature audiences.

• Coordinates audio to be collected and curated for TV and special pop culture events.

• Sunday through Thursday schedule and consistent with those of major on-air personalities (i.e. reserves absence of services for major holidays exclusively, like 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day)
